   For those who are desperately searching for a LIFE program for the
Mac:  The popular screensaver, *After Dark*, has a LIFE module written
by Ben Haller, one of the better writers of Mac game software. I think
that Haller's life is available as part of one of the AD packages,
though I can't remember which one.  It does have several "interactive"
settings and a small library of gliders, etc.  Definitely worth checking
out.
